Nurturing Relationships

Over the years, I have spent a fair chunk of time in the Myer Mural Hall; especially at this time of year. I have fond memories of working with the vibrant Myer Events and Promotions team.

Last week, I was thrilled to return to this iconic venue to assist in curating content and MC-ing for Harris HMC’s 2019 Christmas Party.

Four years ago, I met the dynamic team of Harris HMC through my work with Kids Under Cover and have enjoyed working with them over the past years to deliver great Kids Under Cover events.

My relationship with the Harris HMC team has included not only collaborating for Kids Under Cover but many collaborations on their own events.

They are a wonderful company to work with – let me tell you a little bit about them:

Harris HMC are a family owned building company based in Melbourne.

Founded by Arthur Kennedy over 30 years ago when it was a partition company, Harris HMC has transformed into a 250-person premium building company with divisions covering commercial maintenance, interiors, electrical and of course, construction. Dale Kennedy, Arthur’s son, now runs the day to day as a dynamic and focussed Managing Director.

Their clients include Latrobe University, The City of Melbourne and leading architectural and development firms. Their website shows the variety and complexity of work they do. This year’s projects included Monash Health, Hawthorn Arts Centre and Pullman Hotel in Swanston St.

And so, this year, I returned to a favourite venue of mine. The 2019 Harris HMC Christmas party was staged at the Myer Mural Hall, managed by The Big Group. The service and food were excellent, as were the personalised recognitions for years of service and the value awards that are a cornerstone of the evening.

It’s all about relationships and opportunities that are nurtured. Nurture relationships and they will nurture you!
