Celebrating Connection - Face to Face!

Emerging into the Post-Zoom World

 As a leader, it is more important than ever to be in tune with your team and acknowledge the challenges they have faced working from home.

 When transitioning back to working and meeting face to face, one of the most important aspects of the leadership role is creating connection for your team.

 Take some time to think about how to get started - how to welcome your team and celebrate the reconnection.

 When planning your first face to face meetings, consider that some of your team will be champing at the bit to be back together, whilst others will be tentative.

 Creating connection is key. Here are some things to take into account when you are planning your first face to face meetings:

  • Take it slowly. Keep it light.

  • Add surprises and elements of fun to put people at ease;

  • Incorporate the outdoors – hold a picnic, book a meeting room with a view of the outdoors or access to an outdoor space;

  • Be aware of ventilation;

  • Consider smaller groups at first then building to bigger events;

  • Focus on connection and what’s happening through to Christmas;

  • Give an outline for 2022 but don’t burden your team with goals straight away;

  • Keep the focus on the group dynamic;

  • Be flexible around your expectations.

  • Have separate breakout spaces for morning tea and lunch - ideally an outdoor area or space with an outdoor outlook.

 Whatever your requirements, Andrew would love to work with you to create and deliver the ultimate face to face meeting or event - indoor or outdoor!

 Let’s have fun together and celebrate your team!
